Chiropractic FAQ

What can I expect at my first visit?

The first time you visit Dr Robinson you will discuss your concerns and treatment goals. This begins by reviewing your history and complaints, followed by a physical examination complete with specialized testing. With this information, Dr Robinson will provide a diagnosis and a treatment plan tailored to you.

How many chiropractic sessions do I need?

The number of sessions that you need may vary given many factors including: length of time you have had your complaint, your lifestyle and overall goals.  You may choose to only address your current condition or to create a long term preventative plan.

Will treatment be covered by insurance?

Most extended health care plans (i.e. private plans through your employer or school) do provide coverage for Chiropractic services.  Cardinal Point Health can direct bill to many of those extended medical plans and will always provide you with a detailed receipt.  We do also bill directly for ICBC claims.

Will Chiropractic Manipulation be painful?

Most of the time our patients experience relief of pain, improved flexibility and greater mobility. Some patients feel some discomfort during, or immediately following treatment. These symptoms should not last longer than 24 hours and should be reviewed with Dr Robinson. He may make recommendations for treatment support, such as applying ice, heat, stretching or other home care.
